It was a pleasure to conclude the year 2022 at EDNS with undisputable progress. - The History Of The Internet
The internet has transformed the world into a global village, everything is interconnected, and information is at our fingertips. We can interact with it from anywhere in the world. We are proud of the excellent results Ether Domain Name Services (EDNS) has garnered in just 6 months. It’s currently the fastest-growing domain name provider on Polygon, and also stands among the projects with the largest vibrant community networks in web3. With such milestones and more coming only in 6 months amid our vision to be the pioneer of web 3.0 disruption, we were thrilled to celebrate the half-year anniversary success with a unique giveaway to our communities. EDNS held a 60-hour giveaway campaign with a universal free code that allowed users to mint any of our Top-level Domains (TLDs) efficiently. The campaign was a breakthrough and we utterly boast of redeeming tens of thousands of domains from it. This is all thanks to our dedicated team that has been pushing the project forward over the last 6 months. Let’s take a flashback into the EDNS journey so far. April and May 2022 The EDNS protocol launched in April on the polygon blockchain with the utility to transform machine-readable addresses to human-readable names that would be used in place of the long hexadecimal wallet addresses, as Non-Fungible tokens, and unique identities in the crypto and metaverse worlds. The project immediately witnessed an explosion of users and the team quickly responded with the launch of the first-ever web3 decentralized messaging function in May. In its BETA stage, the tool integrates mobile messages with Web3 technology allowing users to send messages to EDNS domain holders and mobile owners privately. June and July 2022 In June, EDNS closed this month with the launch of its ambassador program. The program is the key player in the EDNS ecosystem growth. It selects active members in our communities that apply to keep our social channels vibrant and also disseminates EDNS updates through their social handles for passive income. As more users trickled into our ecosystem falling in love with EDNS domains and our goals, the project was delighted to reach 1M domain registrations in July prompting us to focus on developing more tools, new TLDs, and forging partnerships. August and September 2022 As a result, the EDNS core team flew red-eyed across Asia in August announcing our decentralized storage object DeDrive. The storage solution is coded with a very powerful management console enabling users to Create, Read, Update, and Delete data. It also allows them to choose between centralized cloud services and on-chain data storage providers without losing ownership and control of their data. This was followed up with the release of the EDNS decentralized chrome lookup tool and new TLDs in September. The chrome plugin enables users to fetch any data linked to a decentralized domain and more. At the same time, our domain extension list was replenished with a .gamefi and .web3 TLD. October 2022 October has been a very fruitful month for the EDNS ecosystem. It is a pleasure to have launched the EDNS Partner Network Program in a bid to keep our continuous expansion across the web3 space. We also integrated with the IoTeX chain and improved our domains with sleek fancy emojis. Users can now customize emoji domains on our platform. Generally, EDNS has crossed the 6-month line having made 12 AMAs, 13 completed community giveaways, and 18 finalized partnerships with major players in web3, over 250k followers across its socials, and 366k+ domain holders.
